The advancement of digital payment technologies has encouraged micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to adapt through the adoption of the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS). However, the financial literacy of MSME actors remains a critical determinant of successful implementation. This study aims to analyze the level of financial literacy among MSME operators, the extent of QRIS utilization, and the influence of financial literacy on decision-making regarding QRIS adoption in Soreang District, Parepare City. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation, supported by triangulation to ensure validity. The findings indicate that MSME financial literacy ranges from low to moderate, particularly in aspects of cash-flow recording, capital planning, and the use of digital transaction reports. Although QRIS adoption has increased due to consumer demand and transaction efficiency, its utilization remains suboptimal because of limited understanding of system features and network constraints. The results further reveal that MSME actors with higher levels of financial literacy are better able to use QRIS as a digital tool for recording and analyzing sales, thereby supporting more rational and measurable business decisions. Thus, financial literacy serves as a key factor in optimizing QRIS use and enhancing the quality of financial decision-making within MSMEs.
